Celebrity Chef Gabriele Corcos of Extra Virgin Talks Rare Italian Cookbooks with Italy In Bocca 🍅

Gabriele Corcos needs no introduction. Half of the powerhouse team behind Extra Virgin on the Cooking Channel, he and his lovely wife Debi Mazar have brought the beautiful tastes of Tuscany into homes across the world. Gabriele is a great guy, super friendly, super passionate about food and music, and super lovely to talk to, so I was super jazzed to interview him about Italy In Bocca, a series of 20 cardboard bound, illustrated Italian cookbooks printed by Il Vespro in 1976. These books are magical, from their story, to their art, and right down to their amazing, unique and delicious recipes. They have been an inspiration to us, and have connected us to some of the most fantastic people, bringing us together and closer to a country that has given us so much, Italy. This is an ongoing interview series with chefs, celebrities, epicureans, and just interesting people, to learn what these books mean to them, how their relationship with food has changed during the quarantine, and to just check in and get a bit inspired.

There you can find the film, series, images of the books, recipes and a ton of other cool stuff on our blog. Stop on by and fall in love with some funky cardboard Italian cookbooks;) One thing I truly love about Gabriele is his humble beginnings as The Tuscan Gun here on YouTube. To see someone of such great talent skyrocket is an inspiration to us all. Check him out here and get hungry;)
