Nobu & Catch LA Chef Danny Ye talks Rare Italian Cookbooks with Italy In Bocca 🍅

I’ve known Chef Danny Ye since college and to see this guy skyrocket to culinary fame is pure delight. From his beginnings at the infamous Nobu NYC to being the Exec Chef of the super hot Catch LA, this guy brings pure joy to the table, and definitely a ray of sunshine in my soul. So I was super jazzed to interview him about Italy In Bocca, a series of 20 cardboard bound, illustrated Italian cookbooks printed by Il Vespro in 1976. These books are magical, from their story, to their art, and right down to their amazing, unique and delicious recipes. They have been an inspiration to us, and have connected us to some of the most fantastic people, bringing us together and closer to a country that has given us so much, Italy. This is an ongoing interview series with chefs, celebrities, epicureans, and just interesting people, to learn what these books mean to them, how their relationship with food has changed during the quarantine, and to just check in and get a bit inspired.
