Here we go again ... this time with mini bocca.

So … it has come to my attention that these lil’ guys exists:

They are called Mini Bocca (I mean c’mon, that’s too cute) and there is almost zero info on these small Italy In Bocca editions.

I was fortunate enough to snatch up a few while in Italy, but I’ve never seen a full set. Piecing together some info they seem to have been published in 1976 in Palermo from Il Vespro, which was the original publisher of the full scale set, the same year the full scale came out. There are 14 books in total:

  1. Pane

  2. Tono

  3. Toglisete

  4. Fritate

  5. Verdi

  6. Peperoni

  7. Minestre

  8. Pesce Spada

  9. Pizze

  10. Dolcepasqua

  11. Dolcenatale

  12. Le Spaghettate

  13. Cuscus

  14. Il Sesso In Pentola (only one I’m missing;)

That last one means “The sex in the pan” which I’m sure has some spicy recipes … reminds me of my favorite TikTok chef Max Mariola when he says “The sound of love regggggazzzzzi” - I did find a picture of a complete set and looks like they came wrapped in this jaunty little cuff:

It looks like the In Bocca Universe (IBU) has grown larger and I have a new obsession.
